    TIPS FOR YOUR VISIT

    BEST TIME TO VISIT

We recommend that you visit CWU when classes are in session, as you will get the best exposure to campus activities and perspective about student life. On weekends or during holiday breaks, academic departments and student service areas are closed. The Wildcat Shop and the Student Union and Recreation Center (SURC) may have limited hours.

WALKING A MILE IN OUR SHOES

The campus tour is a mile-long walking tour, so wear comfortable walking shoes or appropriate shoes for snowy/wet conditions. If you are unable to participate in a walking tour, please call us for alternative options. Central Washington University is committed to provide access, equal opportunity, and reasonable accommodation in its services, programs, activities, education, and employment for individuals with disabilities. To request disability accommodation for a campus tour, please call us in Visitation at 509-963-1262.

OVER THE HILL OR THROUGH THE WOODS?

If driving, please allow yourself plenty of travel time. We strongly recommend checking the WSDOT website for current traffic and weather conditions. Plan around 15 minutes extra to park and walk to the check-in location. Check in will begin in Bouillon Hall, Rm. 202-A. Please click here for WSDOT and here for our campus map with directions.

And did you know that on Labor Day weekend the Ellensburg Rodeo hosts the World Finale of PRCA's Xtreme Bulls Tour? We have also been named America's Top 10 professional rodeos!

    THE MOST IMPORTANT TIP!!!!

As a prospective student touring colleges, you should look for a campus that is “a good fit” for YOU. What may appear to be the “best school” on the list might not actually be the best one for YOU. Ask yourself this: “Is this college the right fit for me academically, socially, and financially?” We recommend considering all three factors and more as you search for the campus you will one day call home. Should you choose to join our Wildcat family, we welcome you with open paws!
