COVID-19 VISIT GUIDELINES

We’re excited to welcome you to Central Washington University —in person with guests—to explore and get a taste of college life. To ensure the health and safety of CWU’s community and our visitors, we have put in place the following measures based on public health directives from the State of Washington, our campus visitor guidelines and the CDC:

BEFORE YOUR VISIT

We require all visitors to register in advance of arriving on campus. All guests will be asked to wear a face covering while on the CWU Campus regardless of vaccination status. We will do our best to also allow for social distancing. Students are asked to bring no more than 3 guests to the event. Some events may be outdoors, so please make sure you wear appropiate shoes and clothing for the weather.

THE DAY OF YOUR VISIT

Please refrain from visiting campus if you do not feel well, have not felt well at all in the past 24 hours, or if you have been in contact with someone who has contracted COVID-19 in the last 14 days. Please mask up. Face coverings, which cover both the nose and mouth, must always be worn during the Open House event.

FACE COVERING GUIDANCE & HYGIENE

Central Washington University will adhere to the provisions of these guidelines with the following changes to operations: Masks are required in indoor public spaces for everyone - whether they are vaccinated or not. Masks are required for large outdoor events with 500 or more attendees, regardless of vaccination status. CWU will be following these guidelines as it prepares for in-person events this fall. We strongly encourage abiding by public health guidelines, including washing your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds. Please be aware, food services are limited on campus and are order ahead and to-go service only. While we eagerly anticipate meeting you in person, our admission staff and student tour guides will not be shaking hands. Please do not be offended. While CWU is taking all precautions to safeguard our community and guests, we cannot eliminate the risk of COVID-19 exposure. Please be reminded that you are undertaking your visit at your own risk.

We recommend that you check-in for the event starting at 9 am in the Student Union and Recreation Center (SURC).

10:00 AM: Academic College Fair and Student Services Fair

11:30 AM: Student Clubs and Organizations Fair

11:30 AM: Wellington Wildcat Meet and Greet

12:00 PM: Lunch (will be provided)

1:00 PM: On-the-Spot Admissions (Bring official Transcripts)

2:00 PM: Information Sessions (Admissions, Housing and Financial Aid)

2:00 PM: Inicia Tu Futuro (Spanish language Track)

3:00 PM: Campus and Residence Hall Tours

4:00 PM: Event Concludes

6:00 PM: CWU Home Football Game (tickets available in registration)
